Cameron Park has become a favorite place to set up and do pastels, often on my way home from teaching. It gives me a moment to focus on something outside of my own head, to decompress and commune with God and His creation. I break down the brush strokes in part because I imagine all of God’s creation to be full of life and energy- pulsing almost like the burning bush.
